We have certainly grown fond of testimony meetings in North Idaho...especially this experience we had on Sunday. An older lady arose to share her thoughts and feelings. Bless her heart. Nick and I agree that we have never been a witness to such an event, but we both feel that now that we are out of the situation, it is something we can look back upon and laugh. So, this lady proceeded to advise us of certain things, and she was quite intense about it. She would raise her voice and stretch her arms out over her head, then put her hands together in front of her face and slowly lower them, much like unto yoga. Nick commented that it was much like an evangelical church meeting, and I had to agree. At one point, she pointed her finger at the congregation and firmly and sternly advised us to 'go to the temple! always put on clean garments in the morning!' I must say, we have never been advised to put on clean underwear in church before. It was quite the experience! She then abruptly ended her sermon with 'in the name of Jesus Christ.' Um...I was sure I didn't hear her correctly...but sure enough, she didn't say 'amen.' A few people mumbled an awkward amen as she proudly walked back to her seat. It was quite the experience! Moral of the story: wear clean underwear!!!

The ultrasound!!!
Oh, another ultrasound...this one was a little more nerve-racking however! It was such a relief to see that the baby had 4 chambers in his heart, his heart was beating nicely and everything they looked for in the brain was there. Momma can stop worrying now! So, when the ultrasound lady was trying to get a head measurement, we ran into a bit of a problem...baby's head was apparently stuck in my hips, so she was trying to get him out...she was digging the thing into my hip bone! OUCH!!! She proceeded to try and push baby out of there with her hands, saying 'come on, get out of there!' I was about to slap her and say the same to her! Good grief! All in all, she was a very nice lady and it was a great outing. We decided on Jaxon Nicholas for the name, and we are so super excited for him to come!!! Sorry the picture is upside down, thats why they call me Captain R! Consider this post concluded:)

Our little family!
We're pretty new at this blogging thing, but we'll give it a try anyway. Nick and I met in high school, but we weren't really friends, mostly just acquaintances. He came home from his mission in July of 2007 and we started hanging out with a big group of friends. Soon, it was just Nick and I and by Christmas we were engaged. We were married March 14th in the Spokane Washington Temple. We found out on April 19th that we are expecting our first child, obviously its our first! We had our ultrasound yesterday and we know now that it is a little boy! Well, thats pretty much our life right now!
